
The ultimate goal is to provide machinists, inspectors and managers with a better overall understanding of threads, why they must be measured and how to properly measure them resulting in better threading practices and a better overall product for the industry. The Candidate is given a brief history of gauge use, a description of how the connections are used, definition and importance of each individual thread element, proper setting and measurement techniques on a variety of gauges across multiple manufacturers and the importance of proper gauging techniques followed by Instructor lead gauging of various threads in both passing and failing conditions.
